Cute Kid Contest {bellingham photographer}

Melisa Lynn Photography is having its 1st Annual {Cute Kid} Contest starting August 13th 2010!!!!! Email us a photo of your child taken within the last year, after the submission period we will post the photos on facebook for Melisa Lynn Photography fans to vote on. {Please read all the details below before submitting your photo}

Winner will receive a free portrait session with disk {value $160.00}
The free portrait session will be a gift certificate to use however you wish. The winning portrait session doesn’t have to be a photo session of the winning child only. It just needs to include the child.

How do you enter?
To Enter email photo to cutekid@MelisaLynn.net with the Subject line: {My Kid is the Cutest}

Photos will be accepted from August 13th, 2010 – August 20th, 2010 {one week}

Include child’s first name and age {first name and age will be on display during voting}. Please include Parents contact info name, phone, & email.

What is the Fine Print? {please read it}

This contest is open to anyone. The winning portrait session will take place in Whatcom County.

One entry per child

You must be the parent or legal guardian of the child you enter the contest

Child must be 15 years old or younger on the date of entry

You must have permission/rights to use the photo you enter

Photo must have been taken in the last year. Please no professional photos.

If you have won a contest in the past year please give someone else a chance to win!

How do you Vote?
All entries will be uploaded to a facebook album by Melisa Lynn Photography on Saturday August 21st, 2010

To vote for a photo you MUST “like” or be a fan of Melisa Lynn Photography

To vote for a child go to the Album Cute Kids, click ‘like’ under the photo’s you would like to vote for.

Photo with the most ‘likes’ will win. Comments are allowed, but do not count towards the total number of votes

You can vote for more than one child but only one vote per child!

Melisa Lynn Photography will verify that all ‘likes’ of the winning photo come from Melisa Lynn Photography fans, non-fans will not be counted

Voting will close August 30th, 2010 at midnight.

Official winner will be notified and announced.

Littlest Heroes Project {Bellingham Photographer}

I have been waiting a few month for The Littlest Heroes Project to start accepting Photographer applications again. Saturday morning was the day…… they announced that they would begin accepting applications again. So I went ahead and applied. I found out this morning that I was accepted to be a photographer for their organization in the Bellingham, WA area. I feel so excited and blessed.

You are probably wondering what is The Littlest Heroes Project? Here is a little bit that I copied from their site:

The Littlest Heroes Project is a non-profit based organization founded in January 2008 by Felicia Reinhard, made up of professional photographers nationwide that provide free photo sessions to our nations Littlest Heroes. Through the power of photography we are giving back and taking a stand for these children who sometimes feel forgotten because of their illnesses. We are here to let them know that they are heroes to many, and to share their inspirational stories and photos with the world.
If you have a child, or know a child, who suffers from any type of serious illness or life altering disability we are here to help. The Littlest Heroes Project provides you with a complimentary photo shoot for your hero and family. Please read the information on this site and be sure to contact us so we can help pair you up with a photographer from your area. The whole family … Super Sibs and the Brave Parents are welcome to participate in the session as well!
